Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of the website. Viewing content or submitting a search means that you accept every term stated below. Do not continue using the service if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This is a privately operated website with no connection to a federal, state, or local government body. It and its advertising partners do not provide tools for employment or tenant screening, credit decisions, insurance underwriting, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource identifies criminal-record channels in Vernon Parish and Louisiana. It is neither a private-investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It does not store official criminal records, obtain records, perform authorized checks, or submit filings for a user.

Its function is to identify custodians of Vernon Parish records, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information, and Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. It may also provide access to outside research tools. The Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs public bodies and does not make this private operator a government custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked service may not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against a person. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. The rule is especially important for Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry data. Registry information supports public awareness and does not authorize vigilantism, employment blacklisting, housing discrimination, or abuse of a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not prepare credit reports, background reports, or any other consumer report. Its advertising partners likewise do not supply services intended to assess applicants, renters, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. Information from this resource or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check needed for a regulated purpose must be obtained from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Vernon Parish criminal records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Louisiana attorney can advise how an expungement rule, warrant, conviction, or charge affects a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges may be filed or dismissed, and records may later be sealed or expunged. Because those facts change, omissions and delays can occur. No content here is an official statement by a sheriff, court, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to courts, sheriff offices, state agencies, legal-aid groups, and independent search services. Those destinations are outside this site's control. Their availability, content, data practices, and charges are their responsibility, and users should read the destination's terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Vernon Parish Criminal History or its content partners own the text, code, logos, and graphics presented here. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, distributing, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for damages arising from use of the website, including reliance on content obtained here or from a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless against claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. A dispute arising from website use must be brought in a court located in Louisiana.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended or ended at any time, without advance notice and for any reason.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
